PolyHex™ — from a principle of nature to a product animation
Honeycombs, basalt columns, turtle shells — wherever nature needs to distribute forces evenly, it reaches for the hexagon. Maximum stability with minimal material. That exact principle lives inside the bagless PolyHex™ disc filter sector by ANDRITZ.
Our animation tells the story from nature to product: the hexagonally embossed stainless-steel surface, the unobstructed filtrate flow inside the sector and the even build-up of the fiber mat. An animated infographic puts PolyHex™ side by side with conventional sectors using filter bags — no bag wear, less maintenance, up to 20% more production.
The closing shot belongs to a turtle that takes the topic literally — wearing a shell made of PolyHex™. Making technology understandable without losing the emotion: that’s why we do this.
For how we tell ANDRITZ service stories with a character of their own, see Andy Screw — the refiner animation.
Result
