Chair — Web 3D Product Viewer

Shape Wakeboards

Joe Battleday Signature Feature

your catalog can't do this.

A PDF shows your product from the front. A viewer shows it from every angle. Your customer rotates, zooms, clicks on details — and understands your product better in 30 seconds than after a 30-minute sales call.

Our viewers run directly in the browser. No app download, no installation. Desktop, tablet, smartphone — even on the trade fair stand with a touchscreen.

Process

how a viewer project runs.

01 / Briefing

CAD data + use case.

You send us CAD data (STEP, IGES, OBJ, FBX, GLB). We clarify the use case: web embed, configurator with variants, kiosk mode for trade fairs, hotspot explanations, AR extension — the technology choice follows from there.

02 / Optimization

From CAD to web 3D.

CAD models are optimized for engineering — for the web they need reduction. We reduce polygons, pack textures, optimize glTF/GLB. The goal: look photorealistic, load in seconds, run smoothly on smartphones.

03 / Interactivity

Configurator logic + hotspots.

Variant logic (colors, materials, parts), clickable hotspots with info overlays, animations (exploded views, function demos). At Shape Wakeboards: over 200 obstacles as a configurator.

04 / Deployment

Embed code, kiosk, or your own app.

iFrame embed for your website, fullscreen standalone URL for trade fair tablets, kiosk mode with auto-reset, Spatial Player Pro for VR/Vision Pro. Hosting with us or directly on your server.

Frequently asked questions

short and honest.

What is a 3D product viewer?

An interactive 3D model that runs directly in the browser. Your customer can rotate, zoom and inspect details — with no app and no download.

Which formats and platforms are supported?

Our viewers run on all modern browsers — desktop, tablet, smartphone. We work with WebGL/Three.js and also deliver glTF/GLB for standards like model-viewer.

What does an interactive product viewer cost?

Every project has a different scope — a simple viewer is a different scale than a complex configurator with variant logic and many elements. We are happy to discuss this in person and send you a non-binding quote within 48 hours.

Can the viewer be embedded in our website?

Yes. Via iFrame or as a web component. We deliver the viewer so that it can be seamlessly integrated into your existing website.

Do we need CAD data?

Ideally yes — STEP, IGES, OBJ, FBX, STL. We can also work from existing 3D models or rendering data.

How long does development take?

Simple viewers: 2–4 weeks. Configurators with variants and logic: 4–8 weeks. Depends on complexity and number of products.

Can customers configure product variants?

Yes. Colors, materials, components, accessories — we build configurators where your customer assembles their own product. For Shape Wakeboards, for example, we implemented over 200 elements as renderings and inside the product viewer.

Does the viewer also work at trade fairs?

Yes. Our viewers also run in kiosk mode on touchscreens. Via Spatial Player Pro we additionally offer white-label branding and VR support.

What is Spatial Player Pro?

Our own viewer platform. Kiosk mode for trade fairs, white-label branding, Apple Vision Pro support. Presented at AWE XR EU 2024 in Vienna.

Can we extend the viewer with AR later?

Yes. The 3D data can be reused for WebAR, app-based AR and Apple Quick Look.

How is the viewer hosted?

Either on our servers or directly on yours. We deliver all assets and can help with hosting.

Do you work under NDA?

Of course. Many of our industrial clients work with sensitive product data.
